Friend of FOSZB bird guide, Erik Bruhnke will lead the car caravan to some of Sax-Zim’s hottest spots…Should still be singing LeConte’s Sparrow (photo below), Sedge Wrens, various warblers including Connecticut, and maybe, just maybe a hunting Great Gray Owl (no promises!).
We also will look for Magpies, Upland Sandpiper, grouse and Dickcissels (an irruption this year). Erik will also point out the sites for the future Sax-Zim Bog Welcome Center and the bog we are in the process of purchasing.
BYOB… Bring your own bug dope!
